"Retail" licenses of Office 2010 Pro and "Home and Business" only allow install on up to 2 computers at the same time. Installs you either have a "bootleg" copy or you have misunderstood the license terms for that bundle. If you have been sold one of the other bundles, probably Office 2010 Professional with the understanding that you can do 3 concurrent NOTE: the only "Office 2010" bundle that allows install on 3 computers at the same time is Office 2010 Home and Student. Office 2013 works just fine on Win 7 as well as Win 8. Office 2010 works just fine on Win 7 AND Win 8. Thanks very much for replying to my inquiry. I hope this is true in case it turns out that the new computer has a defect and needs to be returned. I understand that if we ever need to remove one of the three Office 2010 installations, we can in effect re-use that license on another computer. Since my understanding is that Office 2010 works best with Windows 7, while Office 2013 works best with Windows 8, I ordered Office 2010 Home and Student, on disc, with license for 3 computers. I have ordered a new computer with Windows 7 Pro.
